On 20 June 2025, the national ceremony was held at Tirorangi Marae, hosted by Ngāti Rangi.

Guided by local tikanga, whānau came together to reset – marking a new tau.  We were honoured to be part of the organising collective that brought the kaupapa to life in our rohe.

The theme for this year was:
Matariki mā Puanga – Celebrating Together,
recognising both unity and the diversity of iwi practices across the motu.
